In accordance with By-law 2003-445 (Road Activity), permission is hereby granted for closure of the Bren Maur Road  from Jockvale Road to Barcham Crescent starting Monday, 9 November 2009 to Monday, 30 November 2009.

 

AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE STREET

FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION

 

In accordance with By-law 2003-445 (Road Activity), permission is hereby granted for you to close the following roadway:

 

On: Bren-Maur Road From: Jockvale Road To: Barcham Crescent

 

Under the following conditions:

Duration:

  • Monday, 9 November 2009 to Monday, 30 November 2009.

Public Notification:

  • Contractor shall notify, in writing, all residents/businesses a minimum of 72 hours prior to the closure. The notification must include a description of any temporary changes to local access and/or parking.

  • A minimum of three days prior to the closure through to the day of the closure, provide TC-67 information signs (see attached example) on:

  • Bren-Maur at the closure site facing eastbound traffic

  • Bren-Maur at the closure site facing westbound traffic

  • On days of the closure provide TC-67 information signs (same text) on:

  • Woodroffe north of Bren-Maur facing southbound traffic

  • Woodroffe south of Bren-Maur facing northbound traffic

  • Jockvale north of Bren-Maur facing southbound traffic

  • Jockvale south of Bren-Maur facing northbound traffic

Signage/Conditions

  • Provide "Road Closed" (TC-7 rural + TC-7tA + RB-92) signs on Bren-Maur at Jockvale facing eastbound traffic.

  • Provide "Road Closed - Local Traffic Only - No Exit" (TC-7 rural + TC-7tA + TC-7tB + TC-39) signs on Bren-Maur at Barcham Cres. (West) facing westbound traffic.

  • Note, due to depth of excavation and low illumination levels in the area we recommend the contractor consider using TC-12 arrow boards (bar mode) at the closure locations.

  • Provide "Road Closed + RB-92" signs plus barricades, barrels and/or barriers on each side of work zone as necessary to secure the site.

  • Maintain access to adjacent dwellings at all times. This includes emergency vehicle access.
